job description:
responsible for supervision of all wsots (wideband satcom operations and technical support) contarctor technical experts and other wsots contractor persnonel working on site.
requirements:

analyze deficiency data and prepare technical reports on system performance and/or effectiveness.
previous experience supporting govenrment and/or department of defense customers.
wsoc site manager responsibilities include operations and maintneance support for the transition from legacy systems/subssytems to the wsoms systems/subsystems.
evaluate on-site station failure reports and perform equipment repair and preventative maintneance actions.or office/non-commissioned officer in charge of an army and/or joint satcom operations center is highly desirable,
experience as a site manager.
experience shall include the use of computer software tools in the solution of complex communication anomalies.
supervise installation of any modification work order (mwo) that is authorized for site installation by site maintenance personnel.
reconfigure equipment and develop command procedures and other software routines as required to support new applications, re-engineered equipment and/or new uses of defense communications systems.
preferred additional sklils:
site manager experience desried for undersatnding of prorgam and abiilty to intreact with otehrs in the prorgam.or ojt required for both government and contractor personnel, “hadns-on” instrcutions,
provide assistance to the ncoic and operations anaylst for site traniing inclduing clasrsoom.maintenance support plan, jlsp,
perform harwdare maintenance of subsystems/equipment usnig maintenance alloaction chrat (mac), technical manuals, and logistics support plan as a guide.
recommend application software source code changes as necessitated by user requirements.
this position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a top secret security clearance.
8 years in satellite industry including at least 4 years in a supervisory and/or management position.
recommend and initiate the implementation of engineering design changes required to adapt systems to new uses or accommodate changes in the military command and control mission.
ensure c3 software applications for satellite control facilities are functioning properly.periodic technical reports detailing work progress, and submit to the government, analyzing outstanding technical issues and presenting recommendations,
prepare.applications software and the data output by these systems, recommend and implement new uses (applications) of existing c3 systems,
develop.
analyze wsoms network configurations and link performance data output from multiple control and monitoring systems to resolve inconsistencies, identify anomalous conditions and determine system application and wsoms network performance.
provide inputs for operational and hardware problems.
direct and manage performance analysis of existing and proposed system software and hardware.
4 years experience in military satellite communications, satellite communications network control and/or satcom terminal operations and repair.
advise and assist site personnel in interpreting operational and maintenance issues for docs legacy equipment and wsoms equipment.s. citizen and show proof of citizenship.
