your tasks - to help you progress
essential functions of the job / responsibilities
managing capacity of storage and san fabric
installation and configuration of san storage controllers, disk group management, or equivalent work experience
seven or more years of experience in various aspects of storage technology administration
excellent knowledge of hp storage works products (eva8000/6000/4000 and xp1024/12000/24000) including lun provisioning and how it works on the host side as well (windows, hpux, linux) - (hp 3par knowledge is a plus)
strong knowledge of setting up business copy on xp
extensive knowledge of san fabric using brocade switches - director class and edge technology, lun provisioning and presentation to hosts
planning and performing firmware upgrade on hba, problem determination and resolution
data migration and replication
nas storage management and volume setup, storage frames and fabric switches
perform storage monitoring and performance management
san management using sanscreen and other native tools (knowledge of other srm tools a plus)
