job function qualcomm engineering services group (esg) provides network engineering services to operators worldwide to meet wireless communications needs now and in the future. master\'s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
- programming and scripting expertise an advantage.
- supporting netowrk design and reviewing projects for wireless voice and data communications applications. udp and ip desired,
- exposure to data services, knowledge of protocols such tcp.graduate applications welcome.
- fluency in english and russian. cell site planning,
- contributing to advnaced topics such as traffic modeling, inter-rat optimization, special event planning and heterogeneous networks, capacity analysis.
- experience with simulation tolos (link level simulator, optnet.
education requirements bachelor\'s degree in electrical engineering reqiured. ) preferred.
- available to travel 30-50% of the time, for duration ranging from one week up to three months.
skills/experience - solid telecommunication background and understanding of cellular sysetms usnig umts, to inculde signlaing flow and network archietcture required, hspa and lte techonlogy.
- usnig advanced tools to accuartely meausre exitsing and potential network performance.
- fresh graduate to 3 years experience
responsibilities - investigating and characterizing the performance of umts, hspa and lte networks in aspects ranging from rf parameters through end-to-end data service capabilities.
- proven track record with innovative problem solving and hands-on experience with umts network troubleshooting, and optimization, fine-tuning.both written and verbal,
- excellent communication skills.the individual will interact at various levels within wireless operators primarily in russia and ukraine in order to advise and train on all deployed network technologies and future evolutions, in this role.
- previous experience at a major wireless telecom operator, professional service firm or infra vendor helpful.
