location:
· supoprt creation of strategic plans and mrd for key applications with us busniess unit
· develop makret plans that identify target applications and provide differentiating vaule propositions
· work cloesly with the eu management team to identify target areas and drvie the nedes of the industrial market
· help the eu field focus on target applications and platforms that will generate the maximum revenue and growth
· support the eu field on their top platforms
· work closely with the eu channel manager to define programs to target the broad base industrial market.
· develop relationship with standards bodies relevant to the eu market
· build relationships with key influencers at major accounts and be cusotmer facing on a regular basis
· build and manage a partner eco-system to meet the needs of the eu market
· generate market collateral for the field (training modules, discovery kits and value propositions)
· provide biannual field training on the market and our solutions
· develop and present articles, white papers and conference papers to evangelize altera’s success in the industrial market
· monitor competition and create impeding messages
· assist and accopmany saels for high leevl customer engagmeents
· support saels in positoining our value propoistion at &lduqo;architcetural leevl&rduqo;
· work closely with the us business unit to drive eu market needs and fuutre product requirements
qualifications include:
· strong system and market knowledge of the european industrial segment.

description
as an industrial market development manager, you will:
· define objectives and strategy for the eu industrial market segment in close cooperation with the us business unit & eu sales management.
· 7 years experience within the industrial or semiconductor market
· degree in ee or similar
· ability to develop & drive market strategies
· strong business skills
· strong leadership qualities to drive virtual team
· strong influencing skills
· strong communication skills up to senior management level
· self-starter with strong project management skills
· strong skills in planning and organizing
· ability to drive matrix teams
· have existing customer knowledge and contacts in the eu market
this is a field based role and will require regular travel throughout the eu geography.
· good record in similar positions within the semiconductor industry (assp, asic, fpga or dsp).
