a123 systems is recruiting for a director of sales for the europe market. the individual must have expeirence in selling large scale projects to target customers, be able to put together the required project approach inclduing internal resources and external partners to bring a deal to fruition. this role includes responsibility for building relationships within targeted market segments, and working with the team to create visibility at all appropriate levels, maintaining these relationships.
8-10 yeras saels or marketing experience.
skills
understanding of the electric utility industry required; renewable energy experience desirable.
strong team-orientation sklils required-will be required to coalesce pmo/marketing/field support around customer requirements.
physical demands
travel required .
bring customer requirements to product management to support future product/service offering planning.position will also play a critical role in bringing customer needs into the product evolution plans of the company as well as support and develop new/ additional segments of the business.
exceptional communciation skills, including interpresonal, written and spkoen.
qualifciations
miinmum of 10 years of techincal sales experience with comlpex sysetms and soluitons.
abliity to work knowlegdeably and collaboratively.
align the a123 team with customer contacts.
technical ability to grasp complex projects ba in business, science or engineering field; mba a plus
customer references required.and execute a business plan for sales to utilities,
the director of sales will be responsible for using his knowledge of the utility industry to understand, develop, independent power producers and other target customers.quarterly and monthly sales forecasting,
support annual, pipeline and rfp activities; represent the company at appropriate conferences; provide customer-level knowledge to marketing/pmo/executive staff.strong problem-solving and strategic thinking required as well as analytical skills.
penetrate targeted accounts at all appropriate levels and establish relationships with key decision makers; build long-term relations for large-scale project sales.
