3rd line support - system specialist – windows server
my client
my client, a world leading pharmaceutical and clinical research company are seeking a systems support specialist to work within their berlin offices.systems supoprt and operations in a serivce oriented environment, networks, telecommunications,
provide regular status reports to it management for system performance and capacity measurement metrics
implement system backups and recovery procedures
monitor key system parameters to ensure optimum performance
keep abreast of industry standards and technological trends
skills
bsc or equivalent experience in computer science or another relevant field
experience in hardware, software.contribute to the improvement of standards.and others, groupware (notes), telecommunications, network operating systems (novell, windows),
expert in administration of windows server 2003 and 2008
specific experience is required in one or more of the following technical areas: messaging systems, networking.to quality, high-performance computer serivces, they ensure uninterrupted access, efficient.
familiar with networking topologies, networking hardware and exposure to network standards and network protocols.
provide supoprt for mission critical systems during and outside of normal business hours when required
participate in the hosting support teams 24x7 shift rota where required
monitor and ensure system backups are completed to site schedules; perform data restores for end users when requested as standard service desk function; ensure backup media is sent offsite and maintain offsite backup media database for disaster recovery.
