a degree in computer science/engineering or a related discipline, bluecoat, ibm iss proventia ips/ids systems and secure web gateway solutions from microsoft, ensure projects are resoruced correctly and from this that they meet deadlines and budgets
ensure compliance to key performance indicators (kpis), personal firewall, plus industry accreditation or equivalent work experience
minimum 3 years of experience in an engineering function
demonstrated experience in various aspects of technology infrastructure design and implementation, sonicwall/cisco/checkpoint/juniper remote access vpns, websense and cisco
working knowledge of endpoint protection technologies such as antivirus,
essential functions of the job / responsibilities
create designs based on industry best practices, sound engineering principles and have the ability to incorporate both local and global requirements into the designs produced
participate in projects and act as the central contact point for secruity related questions and to develop infrastructure designs
assist in the management of vendor relationships ensuring provsiion and management of appropirately skilled resourced from the venodrs as reqiured
maitnain responisbility for indiivdual resuorce utilisation whlist working on projects, desinging and troublehsooting comlpex secruity envirnoments
experience in desinging and impleemnting periemter security solutions including checkpoint/nokia/cisco firewalls. additionally you will provide consulting services to other teams, and act as a level four escalation point for operational issues. these services are supported by network security, authentication and endpoint security products. including wireless guest access solutions
first-hand knowledge in designing network security solutions to enable integration of virtual and cloud computing environments leveraging products such as vmware vshield
ability to document processes, life balance, which combines variety,
working knowledge of wireless lan security concepts, we will help you achieve your potential, procedures and network designs clearly and accurately for distribution to internal teams and customers
ability to work effectively in virtual and multi-cultural teams
