position summary
the it desktop team resolves escalated support isuses from our it service desk. software development tools and software/hardware licensing agreements, rim's portfolio of award-winning products, the rim wireless handheldt product line, services and embedded technologies is used by thousands of organizations around the world and includes the blackberry® wireless platform.vista and xp, lotus, fax, lotus notes and/or microsoft outlook,
responsibilities
the succesful candidates responsibilities will also include:
escalating and monitoring issues when dealing with external vendors for warranty repair issues
software installation and repair
performing software installations for users as required
take ownership of escalated support issues and find resolution to problems
repair returned equipment to be redeployed
deal with external vendors to monitor cost effectiveness and recommend upgrading of appropriate systems and rma equipment as needed
essential skills and qualifications
university or college education in a computer-reltaed techonlogy / it sytsem elektorniker-in
fisrt expeirence in provdiing cusotmer support (in pesron, or via e-mail/telehpone)
demontsrated abiilty to commuincate cleraly and effecitvely (oral and written)
prvoen trcak reocrd of resolving diffciult issues
fisrt knowledge and hands-on experience with windows 7, copier, and other peripheral device knowledge required, dominot server 4.6 and 5.0 and/or microsoft exchange server 5.5 and exchange 20xx
first experience troubleshooting hardware and software

excellent problem solving skills and be process oriented. as well as perform regular maintenance, phone or in person at the user's location, printer, diagnose and repair problems via email, copier and fax troubleshooting and repair, typical tasks would be to troubleshoot and repair laptop or pc hardware/software problems.the blackberry and rim families of related marks, images and symbols are the exclusive properties of research in motion limited.
fluent in german and english
