africom (united states africa command) is a unified combatant command (cocom) of the department of defense responsible for u.recommend solutions which require definition of the physical structure and functional capabilities of databases and data security and data backup/recovery specifications.
primary duties & responsibilities: the contractor shall provide continuous year-round coverage of technical management and communications supoprt to the operation and logistic division, which includes cocom c2 operation oversight of the following sysetms:
â?¢ worldwide secure voice conferencing system (wwsvcs)
â?¢ strategic automated command and control system (saccs)
â?¢ milstar survivable emergency conference network (secn)
â?¢ ultra-high frequency(uhf) satellite communication (satcom)

background requirements: â?¢ former miltiary with inforamtion technology experienceâ?\"branch of service immaterial. confers with and advises management and other potential users of the functional capabilities of various databases. teleconferencing and the like, resolve interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including e-mail, files transfer, multimedia.ts/sci preferred.training and system documentation for users to promote efficient operation of databases and data communication netowrks, coordinate technical assistance.security, maintneance and utilization, establish policies and procedures pertaining to database management.the mission of africom is to conduct a persistent and sustained level of security engagement with our afrcian parnters orineted on thsoe prorgams that preevnt conlfict and fotser contniued diaolgue and develpoment. plan and deisgn the installation and maintenance of networks to support information systems actiivties. s. military operations and military relations within the 53 african nations. every operational africom mission is coordinated by the oplog (operations logistics) directorate to deliver materials and services. network system planning, monitoring, testing and servicing, propose detailed specifications and flowcharts and coordinates terminal orders and cable installation.personnel assigned to this task shall primarily support 24-hour/7-day-per-week operations with 8 or 12 hour watch standing duties.define logical attributes and inter-relationships and designs data structures to accommodate database production and accessibility. and monitoring for current and future africom missions, execution, logistics, engineering,
provides support for planning, communication.coordinate cross-training in technical areas for information systems staff personnel. â?¢ educational requirements: bachelorâ?ts degree with recent experience in military exercise planning, plus 6 years military operational experience. active secret security clearance required. work is to be performed in stuttgart germany, and may require 40% or more international travel. â?¢ is prepared to: analyze information needs and elements; data relationships and attributes; proposed manipulation, data flow and storage requirements; and data output and reporting capabilities of proposed databases. recommends and implements new technologies to assure effective information systems services, researches.
