role summary/purpose the former heller bank (factoring) and disko bank entities, together with disko leasing (equipment leasing), asl (fleet services) and the german businesses of cdf (inventory finance) are undergoing a transformation to become one organization, ge capital germany. manufacturers, equimpent vendors and their commercial end-user customers with tailored finacnial solutions, with over $6bn of earning assets and over 800 employees ge capital germany serves corporates.
essential responsibilities responsible within equipment leaisng for finacnial acconuting with regard to both loacl and ge gap:
- assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual closing in accordance with ge and local gaap:
o continuously ensure integrity of leasing genreal- and subledgers through analysis and balance sheet review.
- work with all functional areas to resolve accounting challenges and participate in the setup of accounting processes for new businesses and products.
- indepnedent project lead as required
qualifications/requirements o university degree in finance/accounting
o minimum two years of experience in a multinational environment, fmp graduate prefrered
o self-motivated individual with the ability to energize others
o prior financial serivces & equipment leasing indsutry preferred
o good general financial- , us-gaap and local gaap accounting sklils
o self statrer, independent with storng intellectual curiosity
o strong process focus, passion for simplification and improvement
o ability to partner with and support other functions (e.etc, overhead accounting,
o calculate and prepare required local and ge gap journal entries relating to lease accounting.g. risk, operations, financial planning & analysis)
o good communication skills and fluency in english and german
o strong it-orientation, asset management.
o prepare critical account reconciliations according to 8 corporate criteria and review account reconciliations prepared by others
o contribute significantly to local and emea projects leading to controllership and productivity improvements
o lead the operational controllership and ap team in order
o support the reporting leader and operational controller in complex accounting /impairment and risk reserve analysis,
- continuously streamline and automate processes to create capacity.
