1 PhD position (0,5) - Development of an integrative model (contact: hoelker@igb-berlin.de) An interdisciplinary PhD position (0,5 TVoeD) is available for developing an integrative model at the boundary between Ecology and Socio-economic Sciences. The work will focus on transferring and integrating the results of single work-packages and sub-models into a quantitative description in a social-ecological context, thus allowing for a dynamic analysis of light-induced impacts at different system-levels. Applications are welcomed from candidates with a Diplom, or MSc in Geography, Landscape- or Urban Planning, Biology/Ecology, Systems Sciences or related fields. Candidates should have a background in modelling. Willingness to cooperate in an interdisciplinary research team is desired. Applicants should submit a one-page summary of their motivation and relevant experience, their CV, and contact information for 2-3 references (all as a single pdf) to PD Dr Franz Hölker. Salary is paid according to the TVoeD/TV-L or BAT. In keeping with the policy regarding gender equity, female applicants are particularly encouraged.
