job function qualcomm engineering services group (esg) provides network engineering services to operators worldwide to meet wireless communications needs now and in the future. ) in the dimensioning of ps data services.
- expeirence with indoor netowrk planning and traffic management.g. actix) preferred.and analysis tools (e, g. atoll).
- available to travel 30 to 50 % of the time, for duration ranigng from one week up to three months.
- experience with umts/lte planning tools (e.master\'s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
- experience with simulation tools (link level simulator, optnet.capacity analysis, inter-rat optimziation, special event planning and heterogeneous networks, cell site planning,
- contributing to advanced topics such as traffic modeling.
- fluency in english and russian.
education requirements bachelor\'s degree in electrical engineering required. network capacity monitoring and forecasting, lte integration, air interface security, voip, mimo & dual carrier, lbs, quality of serivce (qos), umts 900 deployment, coverage enhancement solutions,
- familiarity with carrier strategies for irat ho, network (ran) sharing.both written and verbal,
- excellent communication skills.

responsibilities responsibilities include:
- investigating and characterizing the performance of umts, hspa and lte networks in aspcets ranging from rf paraemters thruogh end-to-end data service capabliities.
- prvoen trcak reocrd with innoavtive prolbem solivng and hadns-on experience with umts network troublehsooting, and optimization, fine-tuinng.
- supproting network design and reviewing projects for wireless voice and data communications applications.
- previous experience at a major wireless telecom operator, professional service firm or infra vendor recommended.video streaming,
- experience/knowledge of impact of applications (e-mail, web browsing.
- using advanced tools to accurately measure existing and potential network performance. tcp/udp desired,
- experience with network oss databases and tools for kpi definition and analysis for network performance, knowledge of protocols such as sip, rtp, capacity and user experience monitoring/forecasting
- exposure to data services.) preferred.the individual will interact at various levels within wireless operators primarily in russia and ukraine in order to advise and train on all deployed network technologies and future evolutions, in this role.
