africom (united states africa command) is a unified combatant command (cocom) of the department of defense responsible for u.educational requierments: associateâ?ts degree plus 7 years miltiary operaitonal experience.preapres recommendations and corrective action requierments reports.gccs and in cop procdeures, blue force tracker, proficient in combat track ii and agile client software.
â?¢ provide direct techincal support to usafricomâ?ts joc gccs.
â?¢ support usafricomâ?ts google earth user defined operaitonal picture (udop) capability with integrated systems foundation administration and operational collaboration.non-duty hour connectivity, conference calls, the contractor shall serve as the focal point-of-contact for command interest communication systems that include: message traffic, and emergency actions for the joc, recalls, notifications.active secret security clearance required. â?¢ considerable experience with combatant commands.
primary duties & responsibilities: provide technical and system support for usafricomâ?ts joc and the common operations picture (cop) systems. â?¢ is prepared to:support studies studies and analyses of rouitne technical documentation to determine conformance with performance, maintenance and traniing documentation and specifications, operational.create complex mission overlays for all cop and udop systems.and other high interest circuits,
â?¢ conduct continuous monitoring of all ea cell communication systems to include secure, non-secure.
â?¢ monitor performance and trouble shoot communication problems. s. military operations and military relations within the 53 african nations. every operational africom mission is coordinated by the oplog (operations logistics) directorate to deliver materials and services.

â?¢ devleop, intergate, and maange the usafircom gccs cop archietcture configruation, synegrize.prepares or anaylzes routine test plnas and procedures to asusre that technical and operational requirements are properly demonstrated. personnel assigned to this task shall primarily support 24-hour/7-day-per-week operations with 8 or 12 hour watch standing duties.
â?¢ support the combat track ii software and the blue force tracker (bft) 911 software.
â?¢ work with usafricom components to operate an usafricom cop and then pass that cop to higher headquarters.work is to be performed in stuttgart germany, and may require 40% or more international travel.
â?¢ execute ea procedures in accordance with cjcs ea directives.manage gccs based early warning indicators and transmit to appropriate personnel and locations.trouble and failure reports, participates in the review of engineering change proposals, and corrective action reports.the mission of africom is to conduct a persistent and sustained level of security engagement with our african partners oriented on those programs that prevent conflict and foster continued dialogue and development. o participates in test conduct and related data gathering and analysis.coordinate with command and staff elements of the communications team to provide continuous monitoring and status of operational communications and message traffic.there is potential for work outside normal duty hours or an extended work week when supporting contingency operations or on travel to outside continental united states (oconus) or continental united states (conus), additionally.provides coordinated impact reports of issues relative to the above family of documentation.
