At the Boat Party this Wednesday (Nov. 12th) there'll be many languages, a concert and a quiz game. This is the party known for its friendly, casual atmosphere where it's easy to meet and talk with people in a variety of languages--I help with arranging language partners. Come earlier for that. The party starts 7pm with the 5-star hummus and a little later a dinner is offered by the Boat. The Entry is one Euro until 8:30, after that two Euros (to pay the band).
"The Frees" return this week with their concert to begin around 10pm. For a sample of their music go to: http://www.myspace.com/robertleefrees The new quiz game will take place between sets.
Last week the lounge was full with a nice mix of people from everywhere. It was warm enough to stand out on the deck with the smokers, too, and admire the water reflecting the big O2 sign. I remember having my foot on a chair, sensing the influence of the water even in November. 68 on the guest list.

Directions:
The ship is a 5-10 minute walk from Warschauerstr. U-Bahn/S-Bahn/Tram down Warschauerstr. toward the Oberbaumbrücke. Just before the bridge turn right onto Mühlenstr., and the Eastern Comfort entrance is about 100 meters down the street (Mühlenstr. 73) near the beginning of the Eastside Gallery. On the ship, the lounge is on the 2nd floor. See you there.
