Live music returns to the Boat Party this Wednesday (July 16th) on the ship Eastern Comfort. The party is known for its friendly, casual atmosphere where it's easy to meet and talk with people in a variety of languages--I help with arranging language partners. The party starts 7pm with the 5-star hummus and then barbecue off the grill around 8pm. The Entry is one Euro until 8:30, after that two Euros (to pay the band).
This week those boys of summer return, "The Frees," with their concert to begin around 10pm. For a sample of their music go to: http://www.myspace.com/robertleefrees
Last week rain and wind swept over the boat, and everything was wet. We wiped the tables, put out new chairs, and soon the boat filled up and had that special atmosphere particular to these parties. Over 100 on the guest list.

Directions:
The ship is a 5-10 minute walk from Warschauerstr. U-Bahn/S-Bahn/Tram down Warschauerstr. toward the Oberbaumbrücke. Just before the bridge turn right onto Mühlenstr., and the Eastern Comfort entrance is about 100 meters down the street (Mühlenstr. 73) near the beginning of the Eastside Gallery. On the ship, the lounge is on the 2nd floor. See you there.
